Which documents do I need if I’m pregnant?

After the 28th week of pregnancy, pregnant travellers are advised to travel with a letter from a doctor which includes the following:

  • confirmation that the pregnancy is progressing without complications
  • the expected due date
  • a statement that the patient's pregnancy does not prevent her from travelling by air

Download the medical clearance for expectant mothers.

Medical clearance is needed for pregnant women with:

  • complicated pregnancies
  • twins or a multiple pregnancy from the 28th week of pregnancy
