What is a conformity check?

Belgian law requires Brussels Airlines to perform a conformity check between the name on your boarding pass and the name on your ID card or passport.

Conformity checks will be performed on all flights operated by Brussels Airlines to and from Brussels and on intra-Schengen flights.

All travellers must be in possession of a valid ID card or passport when boarding (driving licences and other documents such as health insurance cards, bank cards etc. are not accepted as valid travel documents). This also applies to children and infants.

You will only be allowed to board your flight if the names on your boarding pass and your ID card or passport match. As such, it is important that your official name is used when booking.

If your name or the name of other passengers is misspelled, please contact your travel agency or call our Service Centre. Fees may apply.
