My vacation is cancelled due to the spread of the coronavirus, will my cancellation insurance refund me?

If you have booked an Europ Assistance cancellation insurance together with your flights, we invite you to change the dates for your cancellation insurance (and/or travel assistance insurance) as well, upon the rebooking of your flight ticket. Changing the dates of your cancellation insurance or travel assistance insurance can be done directly with Europ Assistance by sending your booking reference, your (original and new) travel dates as well as your destination to admin@europ-assistance.be.

In case you still wish to get a refund for the booking of a flight that will be operated, the Europ Assistance cancellation insurance will refund the part that is not reimbursed by Brussels Airlines, for example in case of illness, accident or decease of the insured person or his/her relatives up to the 2nd degree.  For the detailed terms and conditions of your cancellation insurance, please verify the Terms and Conditions document that has been sent to you along with your insurance policy. Note that due to the exceptional situation of Covid-19, the handling time will take longer than usual.
