What are the rules regarding liquids bought at the airport or on board?

If you buy any liquid, gel or cream of more than 100ml at a duty-free shop or on board, you may carry it through security to your connecting flight, as long as:

  • the items are placed in a special sealed transparent bag
  • the purchase has been made within the 24 hours before your flight
  • the special sealed transparent bag has not been opened

We cannot accept liability for any products opened or confiscated during transit or disembarkation.

Please remember that any items you buy at the airport or on board count towards your hand baggage allowance for your next flight. If you exceed this, you may need to check the items in and you may be charged a fee.
